One of the most unifying concerns of our congregation is our support for the State of Israel. The commitment of our professional staff and our lay leadership reinforce the notion that just as Adath Israel is our home here in the United States, Israel is the home of our people and will always have our love and support. Our Israel Affairs Committee provides a key link between our community at Adath Israel and our brothers and sisters in Eretz Yisrael. During this time of conflict and terror, this Committee is committed to reaching out and ensuring that we support and have a vibrant relationship with Israel. It also seeks ways to educate our synagogue community and the broader community about the wonders of, and issues confronting, Israel. This Committee does that through sponsoring cultural events, rallies, speakers from Israel and educational programs; facilitates visits by Israeli artists to Adath Israel; acts as an advocate for Israel through the media and education; and encourages congregants to visit Israel through community missions and our anregular Israel Pilgrimages.
